Tiger Trail

Tiger Patch

First, each Tiger Cub Scout learns the basic of Tiger Cub Scouting:

When the Tiger Cub Scout learns all of these, he has earned his Tiger Cub Belt Totem, worn on the belt.

After completing the requirements for the Tiger Paw, each Tiger Cub Scout works toward his Tiger Badge by completing one Family, one Den, and one "Go See It" achievement in each of the following areas:

  1. Making My Family Special
  2. Where I Live
  3. Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe
  4. How I Tell It
  5. Let's Go Outdoors

For each Family achievement completed, the Tiger Cub Scout earns a white totem bead. For each Den achievement completed, he earns an orange totem bead. For each "Go See It" achievement completed, he earns a black totem bead.

When the Tiger Cub Scout completes all fifteen (15) of these, he has earned his Tiger Cub Badge, a patch worn on the left shirt pocket.

After earning his Tiger Cub Badge, the Tiger Cub Scout can also earn Tiger Track Beads by completing elective achievements (ten electives per bead).

The Academics and Sports Program is optionally available to the Tiger Cub.

The Light of Christ Religeous Emblem is also available to Catholic Tiger Cub Scouts. Scouts of other religions may find a religious emblem to work toward.

Bobcat Trail

Bobcat Patch

The achivements in this trail teach the Cub Scout the basics of Cub Scouting. Every Cub Scout needs to complete this trail.

  2. The Law of the Pack
  3. Webelos meaning
  4. Cub Scout Sign
  5. Cub Scout Handshake
  6. Cub Scout Motto
  7. Cub Scout Salute
  8. Child Protection Exercises

When the Cub Scout completes all of these, he has earned his Bobcat Badge, a patch worn on the left shirt pocket.

Wolf Trail

Wolf Patch

After completing the Bobcat Trail, each Wolf Cub Scout works toward his Wolf Badge by completing the following twelve (12) achievements:

  1. Feats of Skill
  2. Your Flag
  3. Keep Your Body Healthy
  4. Know Your Home and Community
  5. Tools for Fixing and Building
  6. Start a Collection
  7. Your Living World
  8. Cooking and Eating
  9. Be Safe at Home and on the Street
  10. Family Fun
  11. Duty to God
  12. Making Choices

For each three (3) achievements completed, the Wolf Cub earns a yellow Progress Toward Ranks bead.

When the Wolf Cub completes all twelve (12) achievements, he has earned his Wolf Badge, a patch worn on the left shirt pocket.

After earning his Wolf Badge, the Wolf Cub Scout can also earn Arrow Points (patches) by completing electives (10 elective project per Arrow Point).

The Academics and Sports Program is optionally available to the Wolf Cub.

After completing the Bobcat Trail, each Bear Cub Scout works toward his Bear Badge by completing twelve (12) achievements in the following areas:

  3. Family
  4. Self

For each three (3) achievements completed, a Bear Cub earns a red Progress Toward Ranks bead.

When the Bear Cub completes all twelve (12) achievements, he has earned his Bear Badge, a patch worn on the left shirt pocket.

After earning his Bear Badge, the Bear Cub Scout can also earn Arrow Points (patches) by completing electives (10 elective project per Arrow Point).

The Academics and Sports Program is optionally available to the Bear Cub.

The Parvuli Dei Religeous Emblem is also available to Catholic Bear Cub Scouts. Scouts of other religions may find a religious emblem to work toward.

After completing the Bobcat Trail, each Webelos Scout works toward his Webelos Badge. The following achievements are available:

  12. Handyman

  20. Traveler

When the Webelos Scout has completed the required work in the following areas, he has earned the Webelos Badge, a patch worn on the left shirt pocket.

  1. Parent Guide
  2. Active for 3 months
  3. Webelos badge
  4. Uniform
  5. Three activity badges
  6. Flag ceremony
  7. Boy Scout requirements
  8. Religious award or alternates

After he has earned his Webelos Badge, the Webelos Scout is encouraged to work toward his Arrow of Light Award by completing the required work in the following areas.

  1. Six months in fifth grade
  2. Boy Scout requirements
  3. Five additional activity badges
  4. Troop visit and outing
  5. Webelos outdoor event
  6. Troop meeting and conference

The Webelos Scout who has earned the Arrow of Light Award has also completed all rquirements for the Boy Scout badge, received after his transition to Boy Scouts.

After earning his Webelos Badge, the Webelos Scout can also earn Compas Points Emblem and Compas Points by completing elective activity badges (4 elective badges per Compas Points Emblem or Compas Point).

The Academics and Sports Program is optionally available to the Webelos Scout.

The Parvuli Dei Religeous Emblem is also available to Catholic Webelos Scouts. Scouts of other religions may find a religious emblem to work toward.

Academics and Sports Program

Tiger Cub, Wolf Cub, Bear Cub, and Webelos Scouts can also participate in the optional Academic and Sports Program. Participation in this program leads to:

  1. Belt Loops - each belt loop (a metal loop added to the uniform belt) is awarded in recognition of completing the first three requirements in an academic area or sport.
  2. Pins - each pin is awarded to a boy who chooses to continue his involvement in an Academics or Sports area and earns the pin by meeting the appropriate requirements. Pins are worn on the Cub Scout Academic and Sports letter, which is not part of the uniform.
